Hobo Jungle     figures and scenery not included

Shelters of this type and size were generally found in the larger and more or less permanent hobo jungles located near the larger rail yards across the country. A hobo jungle located near a rail yard offered the hobo more of choice of travel destinations and also since freight terminals and small industries were usually located in the same general area it was easy to find and "borrow" a wide variety of building material. Fence boards, doors, pallets, and shipping crates were just some examples of what could have been incorporated into a shelter. Seldom occupied on a long term basis, each successive hobo tenant might make an additional improvement to the shelter resulting in a fairly substantial building in the course of time.

No garden railroad worth a pound of steam would be without a "Hobo Jungle"

One of the shelters feature Hobo Rails Tar Paper on the board roof and other two feature a board and batten roof.  These three "Hobo Jungle" structures are constructed of Cedar and feature 1:20.3 scale, rough cut boards on scale 2" x 4" frame, construction  / Weatherproof sealer  featuring UV protection and Mildewcide, applied to interior and exterior / Weather Proof glue used in the construction.
